"We found Rachel when our second dog Una was a puppy and we were looking for someone to walk her during the day. We'd never used a dog walker before, and obviously we wanted to make sure we were entrusting our dogs (and the keys to our apartment and all our earthly belongings, etc.) to someone we could trust 100%. Many people in our building and neighborhood highly recommended her. There was never any question at all that Rachel was the best person for the job. Our dogs love her--and so do we. Rachel keeps a journal about our dogs' activities in which notes any changes in the girls' moods. She always calls immediately if anything particularly worrisome comes up. (If your dog seems ill or if your apt smells like gas.) She gives many weeks notice when she won't be available on a certain day. Rachel is kind, caring and generous and she isn't just walking dogs till she can find another job (as, I suspect, are many people hanging dog walking fliers these days). She takes the dogs' well being very seriously and deeply cares for them. Now, I can't imagine trusting our girls with anyone else. (By the way, Rachel will also do a great, fast job with grooming.)"

"When I started my search for a dog walking service for my then 12 year old but still very spunky dog Clyde, I was very apprehensive. Clyde was what I described as "temperamental" but what others described as a bit of a "terror". He did his best to try and scare off strangers, I saw it as protective, they saw it as a nuisance (Clyde weighs about 10 lbs soaking wet). No one got through my front door without passing Clyde's muster. The first time Rachel walked in, Clyde barked for a second or two and then climbed up and cuddled next to her on the couch. I knew then that I had found "the one".

Rachel's service is excellent, from the written reports left at the end of each walk, to the gift basket at Christmas (oh and let's not forget the doggie party in Prospect Park, complete with personalized cookies and goodie bags for each dog). Just when you thought good old customer services was a thing of the past...."

“Rachel Ryan has been walking our dog, Jake, since July 2007.  We knew we were working with a true professional when we first reached out to Rachel to see if she would be available to walk Jake.  We set up a face-to-face meeting so both humans and dog could meet each other and ensure a good working relationship.  Rachel shared several references / recommendations with us, and encouraged us to reach out to those people to speak directly with them about her.  She took Jake out to see how they got on together, and we then agreed on a trial period to ensure everything worked – for both humans and dog alike!  Rachel leaves notes every single day in our “Dog Log” to let us know what time she took Jake out, what he did (peed, pooped, etc.), and anything else that we should know about, i.e. if he didn’t seem himself.  For us, it’s more than knowing our dog is being taken out for exercise and a bathroom break while we’re at work (all very important!); it’s knowing that our dog is getting companionship from someone who truly cares for him and his wellbeing.  We saw this first hand at a holiday party we had to which Rachel came; Jake would not leave her side!  We unreservedly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate, trustworthy and reliable dog walker.

I needed someone to walk Curley immediately as I just found a job. Curley was crated and I did not want to leave him languishing all day in the crate with no human/canine interaction. I contacted Rachel on a Tuesday and by Thursday evening she was here ready to take on another assignment. Curley took to Rachel immediately and the love affair continues to this day! Rachel is punctual, professional, loving, and extremely trustworthy. Although I rarely use her services these days (I work part time and Curley has run of the house) whenever I call her she is there ready to help out. I have even entrusted Rachel to care for Curley overnights as well as when I am out of town.
